Job Title: Production Supervisor Position Description:Responsible for monitoring and enforcing the quality standards of an assigned area. Communication of department and plant quality metrics.Escalation of issues to all levels of management following escalation guidelines. Implement and follow systems that prevent re-occurrence of known issues through problem solving process. Leverage resources to solve quality issues.Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management. Understands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between OEM and the United Auto Workers Union.Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods. Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).Able to make decisions independently with limited supervision Knowledge of basic technology and standards of area supervised Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complexDemonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required Knowledge of OEM Global Manufacturing SystemExpereince required:Minimum 8 years of experienceMust have production/manufacturing background and leadership experienceComfortable with computers and different technologiesAbility to Learn OEM databases, programs, UKG to do pay, GPIX, excel, etc.High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work outputWell developed oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of scheduling, manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and other management systemsEducation Required: High School Diploma Education Preferred: College Degree Additional Requirements: 1st shift: 6AM - 3:30PM 2nd shift: 3:30PM - 12:30AM Currently a 1st shift operation and will be moving to 2 shifts in October 2027. This person must be open to working either 1st or 2nd shift once they become a two shift operation.
