We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join a hospital team in Marysville, California. This role is ideal for an RN with strong post-operative recovery experience in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Position Overview
The PACU RN is responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures and ensuring safe, effective post-operative care.
Responsibilities
Monitor patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia
Assess and manage post-operative complications and pain control
Monitor vital signs, airway, and neurological status
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
Provide patient and family education prior to discharge or transfer
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Requirements
Active California RN License – Required
BLS Certification – Required
ACLS Certification – Required
PALS Certification – Preferred (depending on patient population)
2+ years PACU or critical care experience – Preferred
Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
