Overview:
As a Sales Advisor, you are the face of The 1916 Company for every client who walks through our doors. You will build lasting client relationships, guide clients through a curated and personalized buying experience, process transactions with precision, and help maintain a showroom that reflects the caliber of the brands we represent. Success in this role means every client leaves not just with a product, but with a memorable experience they'll want to repeat.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Experience & Sales
- Deliver an exceptional client experience by building rapport, understanding each client’s needs, and recommending the right products and services through consultative selling
- Develop and maintain an active client book through personalized outreach that builds long-term relationships and repeat business
- Support in-store and external events by inviting and communicating with your personal client base
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture through professionalism, integrity, and a solutions-oriented approach
Product & Industry Knowledge
- Build and continuously expand product knowledge across all watch and jewelry brands carried by The 1916 Company through company-provided training and self-directed learning
- Stay informed on industry trends, brand heritage, and market changes to serve as a knowledgeable, trusted advisor to clients
Operations & Compliance
- Process cash, credit, and other transactions accurately, honestly, and in compliance with company policy
- Operate the company’s proprietary point-of-sale system accurately and independently.
- Follow all security, loss prevention, and safety protocols to protect clients, associates, and inventory
- Keep the workspace and showroom clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times
- Report to scheduled shifts on time and remain through the end of each shift
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of luxury retail sales experience; jewelry and watch experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated passion for luxury goods, craftsmanship, and client service
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through
- Strong written, verbal, and quantitative/analytical skills
- Proactive and energetic, with a results-oriented mindset suited to a deadline-driven environment
- Skilled at managing multiple client relationships simultaneously; strong team player
- Motivated, tenacious, and resourceful — works independently and persists through challenges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks under tight timelines
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and business needs
- Accountable — takes ownership of results and how they are achieved
- Available to work weekends, holidays, promotional events, and other peak retail periods
