Dispatcher & Inside Customer Service Representative

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hourJob description:Position SummaryUnico Supply is looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Dispatcher & Inside Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position combines customer service, order coordination, and delivery dispatching.Experience is helpful but not required - we are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, good computer skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Delivery CoordinationCoordinate and schedule daily customer deliveries.Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, sales representatives, and customers.Confirm delivery addresses, jobsite/business names, contact information, and special delivery requirements before scheduling deliveries.Help organize delivery routes according to Unico Supply's delivery schedules and zones.Contact customers regarding delivery times, delays, changes, or missing information.Make sure drivers have accurate delivery information and paperwork.Escalate special delivery requests or exceptions to management for approval.Work closely with the warehouse to make sure orders are ready for scheduled deliveries.Inside Customer ServiceAnswer incoming phone calls, texts, and customer inquiries.Assist customers with product questions, pricing, order status, pickup, and delivery information.Enter and process customer orders accurately.Assist walk-in and phone customers in a friendly and professional manner.Communicate with sales representatives regarding customer orders and special requests.Verify customer and order information when required.Follow company procedures for new customers and credit card transactions, including verification requirements.Identify unusual or suspicious transactions and bring them to management's attention.Help resolve customer concerns and provide excellent service from order placement through delivery or pickup.QualificationsBilingual English/Spanish preferred.Customer service experience preferred, but not required.Dispatching, construction supply, building materials, warehouse, or delivery experience is a plus.Comfortable answering phones and communicating with customers throughout the day.Basic computer and data-entry skills.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Able to communicate clearly with customers, drivers, warehouse employees, and sales staff.Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.Able to stay calm and professional when schedules change or customers need assistance.Detail-oriented and able to follow company procedures.What We Offer$15.00–$17.00 per hourOn-the-job trainingOpportunity to learn the building supply industryStable work environmentOpportunity to grow with Unico SupplyWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, can handle multiple tasks at once, and takes ownership of getting things done.
