Job Summary
The Recruiter supports the full employee lifecycle at Prime Craftsman Homes, from sourcing, hiring, onboarding and employee support once they're on board. This role manages full-cycle recruiting for open positions, partners with the HR Director and manages HR-related questions. The Recruiter works closely with the company's PEO partner to ensure accurate onboarding and helps maintain a positive, compliant, and well-organized HR function. This position is not a remote role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for open positions, including writing and posting job requisitions, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and scheduling and conducting interviews
- Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate pre-employment steps, including background checks and screenings through the company's PEO partner
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation, paperwork completion, and setup of new employee records within HR and new hire training.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR records in compliance with company policy and applicable employment law
- Support internal communications related to HR programs, company announcements, and employee engagement initiatives
- Help coordinate employee relations matters in partnership with the HR Director
- Maintain relationships with technical colleges, job boards, and other outside recruiting and HR vendors
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs. (files, event and recruiting materials).
- Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting the plant floor.
- Ability to communicate verbally, write, read documents, and view computer screens for extended periods.
- Travel between plant, job site, or community locations, if applicable.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Two or more years of experience in recruiting, HR generalist work, or a related HR role preferred.
- Working knowledge of full-cycle recruiting practices and interviewing techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive information.
- Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with outside vendors.
- Valid driver's license required for occasional travel between company locations.
