Position Summary

As a Dishwasher, you’ll be an essential part of our Kitchen Team, ensuring a steady supply of clean, sanitized dishes, cookware, and utensils throughout service. Your role will be critical in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen while upholding Pellegrino’s high standards for food safety and sanitation. Key ResponsibilitiesDishwashing & Kitchen Support

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher efficiently and safely.
• Hand-wash items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher.
• Ensure clean dishes and equipment are available during busy service periods.
• Communicate supply needs or equipment issues to management promptly.

Three-Sink Washing & Sanitation

• Follow proper three-compartment sink procedures for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing.
• Maintain appropriate water temperatures and sanitizer levels.
• Keep dishwashing areas clean and organized, ensuring compliance with food-safety standards.

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Sweep and mop kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Clean and sanitize sinks, dish tables, racks, and surrounding areas.
• Empty garbage and recycling as assigned.
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach for extended periods.
• Work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year of dishwashing, kitchen, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of food-safety and sanitation standards, ability to operate a commercial dishwasher, and strong attention to detail.
• Personal Qualities: Dependable, team-oriented, and able to maintain productivity in a high-pressure environment.
• Work Ethic: Punctual, organized, and willing to assist with various kitchen-support duties as needed.
