Tax Senior or Supervisor - Estate & Trust | Up to $110K + Paid Overtime

We are partnering with an established public accounting firm on a Estate & Trust Tax Senior or Supervisor opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to grow their expertise in estate, trust, and fiduciary taxation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engagements, advise individual and closely held business clients, and collaborate with experienced tax professionals while mentoring junior team members.

What You'll Do

• Prepare complex estate, trust, individual, and pass-through tax returns
• Prepare Forms 1041, 706, and 709, as well as deceased taxpayer returns
• Review trust agreements and wills to determine appropriate tax filings and estate structures
• Research estate and trust tax issues and assist with planning and compliance
• Support clients with tax and financial planning matters
• Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client assignments
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Contribute to process improvement, practice development, and business development initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of current public accounting experience
• Hands-on experience preparing 1041, 706, and 709 returns
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or EA or actively pursuing CPA eligibility
• Strong technical tax and research skills
• Experience with tax software, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
• Strong client communication and project management skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work primarily onsite (4-5x a week in Chicago)
