Now Hiring — Baristas & Kitchen Assistants | Hillside Cafe | $17–19/hour

Hillside Cafe, located in the College of Nursing building on the University of Tennessee campus, is hiring for all positions. Coffee, quick service, and a steady campus crowd.

Baristas — what you'll do

• Pull espresso and build hot and iced drinks to recipe
• Take orders, run the register, and keep the line moving
• Greet students, faculty, and staff and keep the counter welcoming
• Restock, clean equipment, and handle opening and closing duties

Kitchen Assistants — what you'll do

• Prep sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go items, and daily prep lists
• Cook and assemble orders quickly and to standard
• Keep stations stocked, rotated, and clean
• Dish, trash, and closing tasks
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

What we're looking for

• Experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
• Reliable, on time, and easy to work with
• Comfortable working a rush and staying friendly through it
• Willing to jump in wherever the shift needs it
• Able to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs

Pay & schedule

• $17–19/hour, based on experience
• Flexible scheduling — great for students, built around the campus calendar
