Director of Social Services

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Service Director to lead our social services department. The ideal candidate will develop and oversee programs that support the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our residents/clients. They will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while advocating for those in need.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) or related field preferred

• Social Service Designee certification or will to obtain

• 1 year of experience in social services, preferably in an LTC/SNF or similar healthcare setting

• 1 year of management/supervising experience

• Strong knowledge of social work principles, ethics, and regulations.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement social service programs that meet the needs of residents/clients.

• Provide counseling, support, and advocacy for individuals and families.

• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to enhance holistic care.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on services provided.

• Establish relationships with community agencies and resources.

• Train and supervise social work staff (if applicable).
