Skilled Painter

We are looking for skilled painters to prep and paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessaryMake on-site preparations such as masking, covering fixtures, laying drop cloths, etc.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by power washing, scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materialMix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texturePaint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsApply varnish and other finishesInteract with customers and contractors to ensure satisfactionTake and adhere to all health and safety precautionsSkillsProven experience as a painterExcellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniquesAptitude in using appropriate tools (spray pumps, HVLPs, brushes, maskers, caulking guns etc.)Good basic math skillsManual dexterity with excellent balance to work on lifts, ladders etc.Conscientious with great attention to detailAbility to have positive interactions with customers, contractors, and co-workersOtherMust pass a Drug Test and remain drug freeMust show up on time and ready to workMust give your best effort and work hardWorking Saturdays and overtime is requiredOccasional out of town work requiredEugene, OregonJob detailsPay$45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearJob typeFull-timeSchedule8 hour shift, Weekends, Monday to Friday, Holidays, Overtime, Day shiftBenefitsHealth insurance, Paid time off, 401(k) matching, Referral program, Employee assistance programNumber of hires for this role10Job description
