Substitute Teacher

Bristol Family Center seeks a motivated and versatile individual to fill the role of an on-call substitute early childhood teacher. We offer a supportive team environment and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives.

We are a 4-star Early Education program that prides itself on a Reggio-style curriculum and a commitment to social and emotional development. Our center serves infants through 5-year-olds and their families, fostering a family-friendly environment that respects each family's unique needs and wishes.

• Fill in for absent teachers during classes and breaks, ensuring continuity of care and education
• Maintain compliance with our center's policies and state regulations, upholding the highest standards of early education
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining an adequate staff-to-child ratio
• Foster effective communication with colleagues, promoting a collaborative team environment

• Must clear full background check, including fingerprints
• Must obtain Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to become trained)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills
• Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to become trained)
• High energy and the ability to work well with others, and to foster a team environment
• 3 letters of reference
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of Vermont's Mandatory Reporter Training
• Successful completion of Vermont's Orientation Training
