We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards using advanced tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical components.
- Repair or replace vehicle transmission systems, powertrain components, suspension systems, and alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance as required.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues proactively and recommend necessary repairs or services.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers or service advisors.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, powertrain repair, transmission system repair, alignment procedures, and suspension system repair.
- Ability to use diagnostic software and interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Relevant certifications such as ASE certification and/or MVI license are highly valued
