About the Opportunity
A growing organization is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at its Irvington, NJ warehouse. This role serves as the on-site leader responsible for managing warehouse personnel, coordinating logistics processes, and maintaining accurate inventory control. The Warehouse Supervisor will operate as a hands-on leader, working closely with the warehouse team while ensuring efficiency, safety, and operational accountability.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Operations Manager and plays a key role in maintaining organized warehouse operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring materials are handled, tracked, and distributed accurately.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as the on-site leader and hands-on coach for the warehouse team
• Supervise and train warehouse staff across receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution functions
• Oversee inbound shipments, verify receipt of materials, and organize warehouse storage
• Manage inventory control processes and maintain accurate documentation
• Coordinate daily logistics activities from receiving through outbound delivery
• Schedule and consolidate outbound shipments to optimize transportation costs
• Maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and service providers
• Monitor vendor and service provider performance
• Ensure service commitments related to quality, timing, and quantity are consistently met
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of equipment and materials
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and labor laws
• Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs to track operational performance
• Analyze operational data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions
• Communicate warehouse performance updates and operational issues to management
• Assist in developing warehouse procedures and ensuring adherence to established processes
• Perform additional operational duties as required
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build trust and lead cross-functional teams effectively
• Experience working with warehouse systems, inventory tracking, and operational reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate forklifts and pass internal equipment certification
