What You'll Do
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote intellectual, physical, and creative growth in preschool students.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents on students' progress and growth.
- Ensure the health and safety of all students in your care.
Requirements
- Must have AS or BA in ECE or CDA.
- Must have OEC head teacher certification.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available for an 8 hour shift 5 days a week.
- Previous experience in childcare or teaching is a plus.
- Passionate about working with children.
- Able to build rapport with children and parents.
- Positive and patient demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating and carrying out curriculum.
Nice To Haves
Preferred:
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Experience with School Readiness programs.
- Experience with lesson planning using CT ELDS and DOTS standards.
