Job Description
THRYVE of Crestwood is seeking a compassionate and experienced Overnight Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As an Overnight Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing resident care during overnight hours, ensuring high-quality clinical services, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident outcomes. This leadership role serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff while promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents.
Responsibilities:Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned units during overnight shifts
Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow-up as necessary to the Administrator and Director of Nursing
Actively participate in committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing
Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible
Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents
Ensure significant changes in resident condition are communicated to the physician, family, or responsible party
Make routine rounds throughout the facility to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met
Work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive resident care
Review clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary
Monitor, track, evaluate, and report infections and other clinical concerns
Act as a resource and mentor for overnight nursing staff
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges during overnight hours as needed
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Participate in staff development, coaching, and continuing education initiatives
Attend and actively participate in nursing supervisory meetings

5-7 years of experience as a long-term care nurse; of which, a minimum of two years supervisory experience in acute, sub-acute, or long-term care
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
Previous nurse supervisory experience preferred
Must be proficient in the use of computers and programs utilized by the facility
Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills
Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during overnight hours
