Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Mechatronics Technician for our client. This role designs, develops, and tests machinery and tools; troubleshoots and repairs equipment; fabricates or modifies special tools and fixtures; conducts cost assessments and validations; and supports plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives.

This role designs, develops, and tests machinery and tools; troubleshoots and repairs equipment; fabricates or modifies special tools and fixtures; conducts cost assessments and validations; and supports plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Plan and implement projects to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Design, develop, and test machinery and tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
- Modify or create special tools and fixtures as needed.
- Conduct cost assessments and validations for projects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
- Provide technical assistance for production equipment.
- Inspect and assess parts for dimensional accuracy.
- Adjust, test, and operate equipment for optimal performance.
- Use metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, mill, grinder) for part fabrication and repair.
- Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and machines.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience with PLC and CNC programming and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (stick, MIG, TIG).
- Understanding of machine control circuits and schematics.
- Familiarity with plumbing, pumps, and various piping materials.
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to process improvements.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
