Location – Anchorage, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Own and grow revenue within assigned federal accounts, including DoD installations (JBER, Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB), Department of the Interior (DOI), and other civil agencies.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand relationships, identify new opportunities, and increase market share.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, contracting officers, and end-users in the federal government.
- Lead complex sales cycles involving RF systems, two-way radio, video surveillance, access control, mass notification, and mission-critical integrations.
- Serve as a key contributor to the company’s overall business strategy, particularly in federal, tribal, specialized, and emerging verticals.
- Identify and evaluate new strategic opportunities, partnerships, and market expansions (Smart Cities, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Disaster Response, Tribal Enterprises).
- Lead capture strategy development for major opportunities, including pipeline analysis and win-theme creation.
- Own and lead all proposal efforts across the organization — from opportunity identification through submission and debrief.
- Coordinate capture management, compliance, technical solution development, pricing strategy, and partner alignment.
- Collaborate with engineering, technical teams, and OEM partners to develop compelling, winning proposals.
- Support marketing initiatives including trade shows, capability briefs, website content, and digital campaigns.
- Develop sales tools, presentations, and collateral to support the entire sales team.
- Facilitate monthly sales governance meetings focused on pipeline, key accounts, proposals, and risk management.
- Act as a bridge between sales, technical/engineering, operations, and executive leadership.
- Mentor and support other account executives on large or strategic opportunities.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Level of Experience Requirements: 7+ years of progressive experience in federal government sales, preferably in technology, telecommunications, RF systems, security, or mission-critical solutions.
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar federal contracts.
- Deep understanding of federal procurement processes (FAR, DFARS, RFPs, IDIQs, GSA schedules, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Outstanding proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for government customers.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office, and proposal management software..
Preferred
- Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, APMP, or federal sales training).
- Strong existing relationships within DoD, DOI, or Alaska-based federal agencies.
- Experience with RF systems, two-way radio, security systems, or mission-critical communications solutions.
- Prior experience working with Alaska-based federal and tribal customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer and during meetings.

Work Environment

Physical Setting: Primarily office-based in Anchorage with frequent visits to military bases, government offices, and job sites.
Schedule and Flexibility: Standard business hours (8am to 5pm) with significant flexibility required for travel, after-hours networking events, and proposal deadlines.
Other Pertinent Work Details: High-visibility role involving interaction with senior government officials and executive leadership. Emphasis on professionalism, security awareness, and compliance with federal contracting regulations.
Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
