Diversity Health provides the operational, financial, and strategic infrastructure so its partner clinics can focus on patient care and delivering Great Experiences by Design—expanding access to sexual health, HIV prevention, and primary care. HR Internal Communications Specialist
Position Summary:
The HR Communications Specialist develops, implements, and manages internal communication strategies that connect the Human Resources department with the employee population. This role ensures consistent, accurate, and engaging messaging regarding company culture, corporate policies, benefits programs, and organizational changes. The ideal candidate possesses excellent writing skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to translate complex HR processes into clear, accessible information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and distribute company-wide announcements, monthly, newsletters, executive memos, and HR policy updates.
Create comprehensive communication toolkits, user guides, and promotional campaigns for annual benefits of open enrollment.
Maintain, audit, and update the HR section of the company intranet to ensure all resources, forms, and policies are current.
Collaborate with HR and department leadership to draft strategic communication plans for organizational restructures, mergers, or policy updates.
Assist in drafting urgent internal communications regarding public health, office closures, or workplace safety incidents.
Track, analyze, and report on internal communication metrics, including email open rates and intranet traffic, to gauge employee sentiment.
Create and produce virtual town hall meetings
Conduct Team Connect quarterly meetings for all staff employees.
Update and maintain the employee handbook for all companies of Diversity Health.
Assist Human Resources with recruiting and onboarding procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirement and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal relations, or human resources.
High proficiency in Content Management Systems, internal email distribution platforms and Google Suite.
Exceptional proofreading, editing, and verbal communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential personnel data and organizational changes with absolute discretion.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to work in an office, clinical, or hybrid work environment.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, organizational meetings, and other business-related activities.
