Asbestos Field Technician

Asbestos Field Technician – Southeast Michigan

Job Requirements:

• 1-5 years' experience in Asbestos inspections, oversight, and other related job responsibilities
• Valid Asbestos Building Inspector Accreditation with annual inspector refresher courses
• High school diploma
• Ability to implement required procedures while working independently.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Strong technical writing skills, proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current with 8-hour refresher courses.

Job Description: 

Successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment providing asbestos related services. 

• Assist in the verification, quantification, and collection of building materials for asbestos analysis
• Oversee abatement contractors
• Assist in the compilation and writing of reports
• Maintaining daily work logs while on a demolition or renovation jobsite
• Remaining clean-shaven when scope of work requires respirator use.
