DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean trash and recycling containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers.
  • Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings.
  • Use and maintain appropriate cleaning equipment and tools, including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, furniture, etc.
  • Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
  • Follow proper usage and disposal instructions for all chemicals and supplies per products' Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Assist in removing snow and/or debris from sidewalks and stairs in the surrounding building.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
  • Notify appropriate personnel when supplies are needed.
  • Inform the Maintenance Manager of any problems or needs associated with equipment and facilities.
  • Provide accessible and responsive custodial services in accordance with the requests of STE personnel.
  • Follow instructions from all STE and supply/equipment documentation, including user manuals and supplier guidelines.
  • Accept responsibility for service quality and perform all required inspections and equipment checks.
  • Comply with all 5S procedures and maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Safely conduct all tasks and behaviors and comply with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the STE Safety Manual.
  • Maintain all required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpful

  • A willingness to learn and be trained on the STE manufacturing process
  • General skills with hand and power tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to routinely bend and squat
  • Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platforms
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to repetitively grasp
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/ G.E.D.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
