Title: Nurse Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU)


Salary: $85,000 – $128,000/year (based on experience)


Schedule: Full-Time, Days


Location: Dallas, TX


Position Summary:

A leading acute care hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee the Medical ICU. This individual will provide operational and clinical leadership, ensuring patient-centered, high-quality care while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment. The Nurse Manager will manage staffing, workflow, and performance within the unit, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct ICU operations and nursing care
  • Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to optimize patient care and safety
  • Develop policies, procedures, and programs to enhance quality, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Lead, coach, and mentor ICU staff, promoting engagement and professional growth
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality metrics, and patient care protocols
  • Monitor staffing, budget, and resource allocation within the ICU


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recent critical care leadership experience (ICU preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred
  • Current RN license in Texas (or compact license)
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • CCRN and/or CNRN preferred


Unit Snapshot:

  • Beds: 16
  • FTEs reporting: ~45
  • Reports to: Director of Critical Care


Salary & Incentives:

  • Salary range: $85,000 – $128,000/year (based on experience)
