Eligibility Specialist - Child Care Assistance

We are seeking highly skilled and enthusiastic Eligibility Specialists to join our team at CCCC. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to applicants enrolled in childcare assistance programs, ensuring that all CCAP agreements are compliant with NJ DFD regulations and that all eligibility requirements are met. This includes reviewing applications and documents, verifying information, and processing requests for changes in providers, child abuse record investigations, and home inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep accurate records and files to demonstrate eligibility for childcare assistance payments.
• Verify applicant information against NJ DFD guidelines, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Process applications for changes in providers, initial and annual child abuse record investigations, and home inspections in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inform parents about alternative childcare options, including RFCC, child care centers, and other resources.
• Maintain spreadsheets to track applicants nearing the end of their subsidy periods or eligible for extension with proof of license renewal.

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to calculate numbers accurately.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must know how to scan documents.
• Good at handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred but not required.
