CDL B 4 Car Carrier Driver

Local transportation company has an opening for a qualified CDL Class A or B driver to assist in Transporting vehicles to Auction. This driver must have a clean driving record. All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug screening and FMCSA regulations.

Please be advised that you must be able to work shift work and must be able to pass pre-employment drug screenings and random testing. This position pays on a per car basis, so the more you transport, the more you make. 

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION

Expectations of a Transport Driver:

• Complete Pre trip & Post trip inspection daily prior to loading the vehicle.
• Verify the VIN numbers of all transport orders prior to loading the vehicle.
• Load/unload units per International Recovery Systems standards and safety guidelines
• Deliver units on time to various local auctions. Deliveries are time sensitive and must be delivered when scheduled to remain in compliance.  
• Communicate with Transport Coordinator if any delivery issues arise
• Report any issues with the vehicle that would prevent a delivery from being on time to the Transport Coordinator.
• Complete all paperwork once delivery is complete to remain in compliance

Requirements of a Transport Driver:

• Valid CDL A or B license
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable vehicle transport experience
• Must be 23 years or older due to insurance requirements
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Daytime hours, start time may vary due to auction hours.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Comfortable operating independently and navigating urban, suburban, and rural environments

Some of the qualifications of our ideal candidate are:

• Previous transport or logistics experience
• Ability to work in a time sensitive delivery environment.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying VINs and recovery paperwork
• Proficient with laptops/iPad
