Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Unit Manager and Wound Nurse to join our team. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, including managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your clinical expertise as a wound nurse will be utilized to provide high-quality wound care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and CNAs, to ensure provision of high-quality patient care

  • Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers of patients to different rooms within the facility

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients

  • Conduct wound assessments, develop wound care plans, and implement wound care treatments

  • Monitor and report patient progress, identifying changes in condition or behavior

  • Participate in clinical start-up and department head stand-up meetings

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Licensed LPN or RN in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Maryland or Mulitstate License

  • Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing

  • Valid CPR Certification

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations

  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn company software (PCC)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information

  • Ability to relate professionally and positively with patients, families, and other employees
