  • Job Title: Travel RN - Outpatient

    Location: Helena, CA
    Assignment Type: (Temporary Contract)
    Shift: Day Shift | 4x10s (Mon–Fri, rotating day off)
    Start times vary between 5:30 AM – 11:00 AM based on case volume

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN – Outpatient Surgery, who will deliver coordinated, patient-centered care across pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows in a dynamic surgical setting.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a rapid patient turnover environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Deliver safe, efficient pre-op and post-anesthesia (Phase II) care

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes

  • Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery

  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff appropriately

Qualifications

Required:

Requirements

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active California RN License (Required)

  • BLS (AHA or ARC) (Required)

  • ACLS (Required)

  • PALS (Required)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience

  • Outpatient surgery, endoscopy, or perioperative experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with:

    • Moderate sedation

    • Rapid patient turnover

    • Pre-op care for open heart & total joint patients (highly valued)
