You will be responsible for food service of all tables and seating areas in a high-volume restaurant, bar or lounge. The Server Assistant assists the kitchen and Servers with food service, proper set-up and maintenance of functioning spaces, as well as serving guests and keeping the side stations clean and well stocked. The Server Assistant will assist management with the training/mentoring of new employees as requested and works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior guest service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide a friendly, inviting and personal environment for guestsAnticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite mannerAdhere to all standard operating procedures and sequence of service standardsMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shiftRespond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitudeKeep tabletops, floors and service areas clean/free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash and any unnecessary items throughout shiftKeep service station and service equipment storage clean and organizedSafely transport service trays from table areas to back of house or service stationClean all spills and waste immediately, Sweep and mop as needed and Polish and wash glassware throughout shiftResponsible for making sure your area is always prepped accordingly with supplies and that it is kept clean to run as efficiently as possibleClear tables of debris and any spillage throughout the shiftAdhere to all specified marketing requirements and guidelines (guest list, reservations, social media, etc.)Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a manager immediatelyPerforms other job-related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
•\tValid driver’s license and proven ability to safely operate light vehicles, such as golf carts.
•\tPrevious experience in a similar role in a hospitality or event setting preferred.
•\tStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•\tAbility to perform physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for long periods.
•\tWillingness to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
•\tExcellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
•\tTeam player with good communication skills.
