The Bostonian Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is currently seeking a Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON) to join our 5 STAR CMS RATED leadership team!

Location: 337 Neponset Avenue, Dorchester, MA

Located in the beautiful Neponset neighborhood of Dorchester, The Bostonian Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a 5-Star rated skilled nursing facility providing high-quality short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate nursing leader to join our team and help us continue our commitment to exceptional resident care. The Bostonian offers a supportive, team-oriented environment where clinical excellence, collaboration, and quality outcomes are a priority.

Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN license and CPR certification

  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting

  • At least one year of long-term care experience required

  • Previous nursing leadership and supervisory experience

  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills

  • Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of nursing services to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care

  • Promote strong clinical outcomes and ensure nursing practices meet applicable state and federal standards

  • Oversee, support, and develop nursing staff

  • Ensure appropriate staffing and utilization of resources

  • Collaborate with administration and other departments to maintain a coordinated interdisciplinary approach to care

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the care team

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and supportive environment for nursing staff

  • Remain visible and engaged in day-to-day clinical operations, providing hands-on leadership when needed
