Housekeeper Laundry Aide
Job Description
Central Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. This position will primarily support housekeeping operations while also being cross-trained in laundry to assist with laundry services based on facility needs.
Our housekeeping and laundry teams play an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces
Empty trash and properly dispose of waste
Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas
Follow established cleaning schedules and infection-control procedures
Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner
Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing assigned duties
Assist the laundry department as needed after completing cross-training
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and resident clothing as assigned
Properly handle soiled and clean linens according to infection-control procedures
Label, organize, and distribute resident clothing and personal items appropriately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas
Work cooperatively with nursing and other facility departments
Perform additional housekeeping or laundry duties based on facility needs
Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred
Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hotel, or similar environment preferred
Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and respectful when interacting with residents, visitors, and coworkers
Willingness and ability to work in both housekeeping and laundry as needed
Ability to perform the physical duties required of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Must meet applicable health and background requirements
