Location: Stone Mountain, GA — This is a primarily on-site position designed to provide responsive, in-person support to our members and team. Occasional flexibility to work remotely may be possible for personal appointments or similar needs, but regular remote work is not part of the position.

Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of billing or accounting experience and must have hands-on experience with Medicare Part A and Part B billing and claims processing. Experience in a healthcare, senior living, skilled nursing, CCRC, Life Plan Community, or similar environment is highly valued.

Job Description

  • Manage accurate and timely billing and collections across multiple levels of care and service lines.
  • Enter and maintain member demographics and billing information using systems such as MatrixCare, Retail Tracker, insurance portals, and Medicare websites.
  • Process Medicare Part A and Part B claims, managed care billing, and insurance claims with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Receive, post, and reconcile ancillary charges and incoming payments from members, insurance providers, and Medicare.
  • Support monthly billing, cash receipt balancing, and end-of-month processing.
  • Analyze Accounts Receivable and assist with collections and account resolution.
  • Facilitate the monthly Triple Check process for Medicare and Managed Care A billing.
  • Work closely with the Accounting Director and department team to support daily accounting operations.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow applicable OIG, federal, state, and organizational compliance requirements.
  • Provide friendly, professional assistance to members and collaborate effectively with coworkers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of billing, accounting, or closely related experience.
  • Required hands-on Medicare Part A and Part B billing and claims experience.
  • Healthcare billing, senior living, skilled nursing, CCRC, Life Plan Community, or insurance billing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with MatrixCare or similar healthcare billing software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems, insurance portals, Medicare websites, and financial records.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
