Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry

Job DescriptionThe ultimate goal of the Pharmacy Technician in data entry is to enhance the guest experience by facilitating refill and prescription requests for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will take responsibility for the following including, but not limited to: answering incoming and prescription calls, processing orders, providing an exceptional experience for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and will cross train to back-up other pharmacy positions. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet goals for accomplishing responsibilities within appropriate timeframesEngage in weekly staff meetingsComplete assigned reading & submit book reports by the last day of the monthContinually seek ways to improve processesAnswer incoming and transferred prescription callsObtain refill/prescription requests from guestsProcess prescription orders in PK CompounderRequest doctor authorization for prescriptions as neededCheck Hotze Pharmacy e-mailAssist in the routine operation of the Script Pro robotic dispensing systemUtilize Mail Order Manager for guest checkout and tracking purposes Knowledge & Skill RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WordConfidentiality of all guest informationExcellent written and verbal skillsAble to multi-task in a fast paced environmentWell organized with great attention to detailMaintains a positive attitude with guests and team membersStrong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skillsHigh school diplomaCertified Pharmacy Technician – registered in the state of Texas Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
