Sr. Specialist - International Accounting

On-site in either Lone Tree, CO or Omaha, NE
Our client seeks a Sr. Specialist – International Accounting to support corporate and foreign subsidiary financials, including journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, reporting, audit coordination, and control execution.

Rate: $45.00 to $45.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Maintain financial accounting books and records for the parent company and foreign subsidiaries.
- Prepare and record monthly and quarterly journal entries.
- Produce accurate and timely management reporting.
- Partner with Controllers, international operations, and other internal teams to ensure accurate transaction recording and account reconciliations.
- Analyze general ledger and sub-ledger activity.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting documentation.
- Research and respond to business partner, auditor, and regulator inquiries.
- Prepare business unit reporting packages for management review.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Support annual external audit and regulatory requirements.
- Execute internal controls to maintain a SOX compliant environment.
- Assist with special projects.
- Complete required firm-mandated training.
- 3 to 5 years of related accounting experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with large enterprise reporting systems.
- PeopleSoft Financials experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management with adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to identify issues and drive resolutions.
- Proactive, results-oriented work style.
- Clear and concise communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal and management skills with ability to build cross-organizational relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and balance multiple priorities.
- Public company experience is a plus.
- Financial services industry experience is a plus.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. CPA is a plus.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
