Title: Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital

Compensation: $121,000 – $153,000/year (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Mixed shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM & 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Nights: 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday through Tuesday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Location: Panama City, Florida

Position Summary:

A respected hospital in the Florida Panhandle is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their team in either a mixed shift or night shift capacity. The role offers an opportunity to work with a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced setting alongside a seasoned pharmacy leadership team. The ideal candidate is a confident, self-directed professional with recent acute hospital experience and a patient-centered mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and accurately input physician orders into pharmacy systems
• Compound and dispense medications per hospital protocol
• Monitor therapies for potential interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness
• Support formulary compliance and cost-effective medication use
• Deliver consults and participate in clinical programs (IV to PO, anticoagulation, pain management, renal dosing, etc.)
• Supervise pharmacy techs and support staff
• Document all clinical interventions accurately and thoroughly
• Identify and report medication errors and adverse drug events

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience required
• OR completion of PGY-1 residency in a hospital setting
• Open to new grads only if internship was in hospital pharmacy
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Compensation & Incentives:

• Salary range: $121,000 – $153,000 annually (based on experience)
• Shift differentials: Evenings +$3.00/hr | Nights +$6.00/hr
• Sign-on bonus: $10,000 (paid in five installments over 2 years)
