An esteemed academic neurology program in the greater New York City area is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist with a focus on cognitive disorders and dementia care. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with cognitive disorders, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and related neurodegenerative conditions
  • Conduct neurological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and cognitive testing for memory disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mild cognitive impairment and dementia
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including neuropsychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, and other specialists
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows in cognitive neurology
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives and academic publications in the field of dementia and cognitive disorders
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based protocol development
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
  • Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program
  • Demonstrated interest or clinical experience in Cognitive Neurology, Behavioral Neurology, and Dementia care
  • Fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology, Behavioral Neurology, or Dementia preferred but not required
  • Strong interest in academic medicine, teaching, and medical education
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • DEA license or ability to obtain
