We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Caregiver to provide attentive weekend care in Brentwood. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing respectful, high-quality, and deeply compassionate care, and who is interested in becoming a trusted and valued member of a dedicated household care team.

Schedule:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Overtime paid after 9 hours
  • Paid lunch and meals provided during the shift
  • Overnight staff guest room available if commuting is difficult

Key Responsibilities:

  • 12-hour shift bedside and wheelchair-side companionship
  • Safe transfers and mobility assistance for a client with Parkinson's/MSA (late-stage hospice care)
  • Full personal care assistance, including:
  1. Bed bathing or morning showering upon waking
  2. Hygiene, grooming, dressing, diapering, and toileting support when possible
  3. Feeding and hydration assistance
  • Meal and snack preparation (light meals and snacks throughout the day)
  • Medication administration at delegated times according to the client's care schedule
  • Supporting daily quality of life and engagement, including:
  1. Transferring the client to sit on the terrace in the sun
  2. Reading aloud and providing companionship
  3. Watching TV together and offering emotional presence
  • Assisting with voice and occupational therapy exercises as prescribed by physical therapists
  • Maintaining a warm, engaging, and patient presence throughout the day
  • Keeping accurate health and care notes in the client's medical binder
  • Observing and reporting any changes in condition to the house manager and family
  • Maintaining strict discretion at all times, respecting family privacy, and refraining from gossip or sharing any household or client information outside of the care team

Qualifications:

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or nursing training
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Current Lifesaver training/certification
  • Experience with neurological conditions and advanced mobility care preferred
  • Strong communication skills with clear spoken English
  • Able to take direction from a house manager and family
  • Team player comfortable working in a busy, fully staffed household
  • Dependable, professional, compassionate, and attentive to detail
  • Must be discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy, with a strict commitment to confidentiality and no engagement in gossip

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $27/hour, paid on the books
