RN OR (Chesapeake Specialty Care)

The Registered Nurse is a professional who is directly responsible for coordinating intraoperative care of the patient and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre- and postoperative care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinates planned nursing care with other health care team members.
2. Monitoring the sterile environment.
3. Assisting anesthesia, scrub and medical personnel to assure a smooth operation.
4. Assisting in preparation of the sterile environment.
5. Assisting in proper preparation of supplies, medication, equipment and instrumentation involved in patient care.
6. Participating in patient care and education conferences.

Qualifications

1. Education and Licensure: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse.

2. Experience: A minimum of two years surgical experience desired. Prefer additional experience in medical/ surgical nursing and additional "scrub" experience.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Specialty Care Networks’ salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
