About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Lead Teacher to join our team in Ashland, VA, where we are expanding our program to include infants.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with a co-teacher, providing a dynamic and engaging learning environment for our youngest students.
What You'll Do
Establish a safe and nurturing environment for up to six infants, maintaining a clean and organized space that adheres to state licensing standards.
Develop and implement a state-approved curriculum that promotes learning and development for children aged 3 months to 12+ months.
Provide individualized care and attention to each child, including feeding, cleaning, changing, and supervising them at all times.
Ensure a balance of indoor and outdoor activities, prioritizing outside time as frequently as possible.
Document all activities and interactions with each infant, maintaining accurate records for parental review.
Communicate effectively with parents, respecting their preferences and values while maintaining a professional relationship.
Requirements
We would like a minimum of 2 years' experience in childcare, preferable in infant care. The applicant should have the ability to communicate with parents on a professional level. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.
Nice To Haves
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable.
Experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting is a significant asset.
Ability to work collaboratively with co-teachers and other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
