The Project Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price construction projects. This dynamic position involves job lead conversion, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and maintaining a high quality of service and correspondence in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
- Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
- Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.
- Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
- Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
- Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure projects are estimated for maximum profitability within set budget.
- Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years experience with Xactimate software or similar estimating software.
- Expertise in creating complete and accurate estimates
- Selling and securing construction and/or restoration projects.
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Team and goal oriented.
