As a Recreation Aide at Meriden Health and Rehab LLC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing engaging recreational activities and opportunities for socialization and enjoyment. Our team is dedicated to creating a positive and stimulating environment that fosters growth, independence, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement recreational activities such as games, arts and crafts, outings, and social events to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents
• Assist with daily living activities including feeding, toileting, and range of motion exercises
• Promote independence and autonomy by encouraging residents to participate in activities and make their own choices
• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless transitions and quality care
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities strongly preferred
• Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with daily living activities
