What You'll Do
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
- Teachers must have a deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to create a safe and stimulating environment.
- The Teacher will be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.
- They will lead by example, encouraging teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain open communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met, and maintain a healthy classroom environment.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they follow planned activities and standards.
- Manage accurate records, forms, and files.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills are essential.
- Ability to work well with others and foster a team environment is crucial.
- A strong understanding of child development is necessary.
- Current Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
- Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, using hands, and seeing colors is necessary.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Able to meet specific vision requirements.
