The Goddard School of Norwood is seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic Full-Time School Assistant to join our team! This position plays an essential role in supporting our teachers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping ensure our school runs smoothly each day.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Full-Time

Position Responsibilities

Kitchen & Food Preparation

• Wash, prepare, and cut fresh fruit for morning and afternoon snacks
  
  
• Clean and sanitize snack bins daily
  
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  
  
• Heat and distribute lunches during scheduled lunch times
  
  
• Complete required Food Handlers course and maintain food safety standards
  
  

School Operations & Organization

• Maintain the school supply closet
  
  
• Keep accurate records of supplies needed for ordering
  
  
• Distribute supplies to teachers as requested
  
  
• Ensure shared spaces are clean and organized
  
  

Classroom Support

• Assist in classrooms as needed
  
  
• Provide bathroom breaks for teachers
  
  
• Help relieve teachers for scheduled lunch breaks
  
  
• Support staff and students throughout the building wherever assistance is needed
  
  

Training & Compliance

• Complete all required trainings for working in a licensed childcare facility, including food handling certification
  
  
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  
  
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
  
  
• Team-oriented and dependable
  
  
• Comfortable working around young children
  
  
• Prior experience in a school or childcare setting preferred (but not required)
