Infant Teacher

We're seeking an energetic team member to join our infant classroom at Acorn Academy LLC in Madison, NJ.

Our center operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with the full-time position scheduled from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

As a valued member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging classroom instruction based on the Creative Curriculum, sparking curiosity and creativity in our children.
• Developing and implementing weekly lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing environment, ensuring the well-being of our children.
• Employing positive discipline strategies to foster social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrative staff to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
• Participating in required annual training to enhance your professional development.
• Supervising and guiding supportive staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective team.

We require:

• an associates degree in a related field and/or be working on their CDA/Associates degree/Bachelor degree
• fluent in English and some knowledge of a second language
• a minimum of two years experience in early childhood education

For added advantage, please consider holding a current CPR/First Aid certification.
