Assistant Toddler Teacher

About This Role

Assistant Teachers play a vital role in shaping a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. They form strong bonds with children and families, and work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality educational program.

This position reports directly to the Education Director.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the development and implementation of a child-centered curriculum that promotes a love of learning
• Engage with children in a way that encourages social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, and fosters a sense of joy and wonder
• Build trusting relationships with children and support their social-emotional development through responsive and nurturing interactions
• Maintain a safe and clean indoor and outdoor learning environment, ensuring the well-being of all children
• Actively contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities, enhancing their own skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Must pass a full criminal background check
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Must clear health screening
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred for Toddler Teachers; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred for Preschool Teachers; High School Diploma (required)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of professional child care experience

• Basic computer skills and strong oral and written communication skills
• High energy and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to the needs of a growing center
