PART TIME - BUS MONITOR

Wilmington School of the Arts is a tuition-free, public charter school. We offer a public school education with the opportunity for project based learning and arts integrated curricula and lessons. WSA infuses music, language, dance, and visual arts into our everyday academic curriculum, while also ensuring that students get their academic needs met by following all NC grade level content standards. Wilmington School of the Arts is seeking a committed, team-oriented BUS MONITOR to ride the bus in the morning and on the mid-day route. The hours for this position would be 6 am to 11 am.

Basic Requirements:
- Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when students are participating in WSA transportation
- Ability to speak clearly to students and adults.
- Ability to motivate students.
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and parents.

A background check through the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department, as well as the possession of a valid TB test issued by the local county board of health or recognized medical authority is required for employment.
