Prepper (Industrial Painting)

Thompson First Group is seeking Preppers for contract to hire positions with a local client in Cinnaminson, NJ.

Candidates with painting and prepping metal surfaces in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
• Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
• Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self- inspection of your work product.
• Wash containers to remove dirt, oil, grease, and debris from painted surfaces.
• Locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting. Treat scratched and chipped areas with proper products.
• Apply paper and tape to protect unpainted surfaces and other parts while surrounding areas are spray- painted.
• Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper removing gloss from previous coats of paint. Sand rough spots.
• After the container is painted, remove masking tape, and clean it.
• Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
