About This Role

We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to lead our toddler program as a full-time Lead Toddler Teacher. The successful candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule between 5:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. While experience in a daycare setting is a plus, we are eager to train the right person. To be eligible for this role, candidates must be at least 18 years old.



What You'll Do

  1. Develop and implement a daily program that promotes learning and growth for our toddlers, taking into account their individual needs and developmental stages.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  3. Maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters children's growth and development.
  4. Respect the dignity and individuality of each child, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
  5. Help children develop essential habits and skills, such as eating, dressing, napping, and personal hygiene.
  6. Communicate regularly with parents through Parent Teacher Conferences, seeking their input and involvement in the child development program.
  7. Support the growth and development of assistant teachers, aides, volunteers, and other childcare personnel in the classroom.
  8. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  9. Ensure that equipment and materials are accessible, suitable, and well-maintained.
  10. Perform various tasks and duties as assigned to maintain a smooth and efficient classroom environment.
  11. Prepare and distribute a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed and engaged.


Requirements

  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. Have completed high school or an equivalent certification.
  3. Hold an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development, or have completed the Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills & Strategies for the Child Care Teacher courses.
  4. Be CPR and First Aid certified, or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of assuming the position.
  5. Complete 15 hours of continuing education annually, starting from the first year of employment.
