Automotive Service Technician - Earn Up to $168,000

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Safford Mazda of Alexandria is looking for motivated Automotive Service Technicians who want consistent work, strong earning potential, and an opportunity to grow with a busy dealership service department.

REAL EARNING POTENTIAL

Our technicians currently earn approximately $4,000–$12,000 per month, and our top-producing technician earns approximately $14,000 per month.

That represents an annual earning range of approximately $48,000–$168,000. Compensation is based on experience, certification level, individual productivity, hours produced, and the applicable flat-rate pay plan. Earnings are not guaranteed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently
• Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer standards
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs
• Document findings, recommendations, and completed repairs clearly
• Communicate with service advisors regarding diagnosis and repair progress
• Maintain high standards for quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Complete required manufacturer training and certifications
• Road-test vehicles when necessary to verify repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous automotive repair experience is preferred
• Mazda or other manufacturer dealership experience is a plus, but not required
• ASE certifications are a plus
• Virginia State Inspection certification is a plus
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• Must have your own basic automotive tools
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Dependable, motivated, and committed to quality workmanship
• Ability to pass applicable pre-employment requirements
