Job Title: QC Analyst

Location (city, state): San Antonio, Texas

Assignment Type: Contract-To-Hire

Pay: $25 - $30 / hour (DOE)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday on-site, standard business hours

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

What You Will Do

Partner with the Quality Assurance team to support software development initiatives and system enhancements. Participate in requirements reviews, develop and execute test cases and test scripts, and document testing results. Identify, track, and validate defects while ensuring issues are resolved appropriately.

Assist with test data preparation, environment validation, and test readiness activities. Collaborate with business, development, and technical teams to support effective testing strategies and project delivery. Maintain testing documentation, meet established deadlines, and contribute to team meetings and testing efforts as assigned.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience in Quality Assurance, Information Technology, or a related environment.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Knowledge of development, test, and production environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test management tools such as qTest or similar testing platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience supporting project-based work and collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Apply quality assurance best practices to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Support post-implementation testing and validation activities.
  • Assist with knowledge sharing and training related to QA tools, processes, and systems.
  • Maintain awareness of organizational policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and team success
