Hiring Area: Columbus, GA 31904

Consistent OTR Freight and Assigned Equipment
LEM Trucking is adding CDL A truck drivers in Columbus, Georgia for an over the road dry van position. This fleet offers steady mileage, regular home time, and assigned Kenworth equipment for drivers who want a predictable OTR opportunity with year round freight.
Drivers typically run between 2,500 and 3,000 miles each week. The freight network is established and designed to provide consistent load availability throughout the year, helping drivers build productive weeks without relying on seasonal freight.
How the Freight Runs
Drivers haul dry van freight with no physical freight handling required. The operation uses a combination of drop and hook loads and scheduled live pickup and delivery appointments.
Load planning focuses on maintaining consistent mileage and limiting unnecessary downtime between assignments. Drivers should be comfortable operating OTR and staying out for approximately two weeks between scheduled home periods.
Earnings and Time Off
Weekly earnings typically fall between $1,200 and $1,600 based on miles and performance. Qualified drivers become eligible for guaranteed pay after completing their first 30 days with the fleet.
Performance based pay reviews provide opportunities for increases as drivers build time with the company and maintain safe, dependable performance.
This position also provides more scheduled time off than a traditional OTR schedule. Drivers return home every other week and receive six additional personal days off each month.
Position highlights include:
$1,200 to $1,600 in average weekly earnings
2,500 to 3,000 miles during a typical week
Home every other week plus six additional personal days each month
Dry van freight with drop and hook and scheduled live appointments
Assigned 2020 or newer Kenworth T680 equipment
Your Assigned Kenworth T680
Drivers receive an assigned 2020 or newer Kenworth T680 with an automatic transmission. Equipment includes an APU, power inverter, sleeper accommodations, and additional features for comfort during extended runs.
Having assigned equipment gives drivers a consistent workspace and eliminates the need to regularly move personal belongings between different tractors.
Benefits and Orientation
Medical, dental, and vision insurance options are available to eligible drivers. Company paid life insurance and vacation pay are also included.
Orientation is paid, with qualifying travel expenses covered during the onboarding process.
Minimum Hiring Requirements
Applicants need a valid Class A CDL with at least three months of verifiable tractor trailer experience during the previous three years. All candidates must meet applicable DOT qualification standards and company requirements for an acceptable driving record.
