A Preschool Teacher fosters a nurturing environment where young children can thrive physically, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. They must be well-prepared educators who can create engaging lesson plans, manage classrooms effectively, and partner with parents to support the educational journey of their children. As a representative of the school, they are expected to embody Christian values and live out their faith in their daily interactions with students, families, and staff.
What You'll Do
Instructional
- Develops and implements comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Establishes a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes socialization, emotional intelligence, and academic growth.
- Utilizes diverse teaching strategies to engage students and meet curricular objectives.
- Provides regular progress reports and assessments to parents, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.
- Coordinates and prepares for field trips, guest speakers, and other activities that enhance the learning experience.
- Promotes a culture of respect, kindness, and empathy among students, families, and staff.
- Stays organized, manages time effectively, and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that reflects the school's values and mission.
Non-Instructional
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with parents, families, and the broader community.
- Supports the school administration by adhering to policies, procedures, and directives.
- Provides feedback and recommendations to improve administrative and managerial processes.
- Coordinates with colleagues to plan and implement school events, programs, and activities.
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion and care.
- Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay current with best practices, and meet certification requirements.
- Contributes to the school's mission by embodying Christian values, living out their faith, and promoting a culture of respect, kindness, and empathy.

- Demonstrates the importance of prayer, scripture memory and study, witnessing, and unity in Christian fellowship.
- Applies the Matthew 18 principle when resolving conflict.
- Encourages students in their walk with Christ, guiding them toward salvation, growth in faith, and a sense of purpose in Him.
- Provides a safe, caring, and supportive environment for students, families, and staff.
- Is at least 18 years of age and demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning and personal growth.

- Responds to everyday challenges with emotional stability, objectivity, and a positive attitude.
