Full-Time W-2 | Hybrid | Springfield, VA
Expected Annual Compensation: $85,000–$90,000

STIW is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead who genuinely enjoys teaching, developing clinicians, and creating a strong clinical culture.

This position combines a reduced caseload of approximately 15 completed client sessions per week with clinical supervision and oversight of Supervisees

Compensation & Benefits

Expected annual compensation: $85,000–$90,000, based on experience, qualifications, productivity, and fulfillment of clinical and supervisory responsibilities.

This is a W-2 position with compensation based on the role's combined clinical and supervisory responsibilities, rather than a traditional fixed salary.

$85,000 - $90,000


Responsibilities:What You'll Do
  • Maintain approximately 15 completed client sessions per week.

  • Provide weekly individual supervision to assigned Residents in Counseling.

  • Review progress notes, treatment plans, and termination documentation.

  • Support strong documentation, medical necessity, case conceptualization, and clinical decision-making.

  • Facilitate peer case consultation.

  • Provide clinical consultation and support when needed.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director on higher-risk, ethical, or significant clinical concerns.

  • Help create a clinical environment centered on learning, structure, accountability, and collaboration.


Qualifications:

Our clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-oriented care with an appreciation for the relationship between the mind, body, nervous system, and emotional well-being. We're looking for a Clinical Supervisor who can both practice from this lens and help developing clinicians deepen their understanding of it.

  • Master's degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field.

  • Active, unrestricted Virginia LPC license.

  • Meets Virginia Board of Counseling requirements to supervise Residents in Counseling.

  • Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience; 4+ preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision and developing clinicians.

  • Strong clinical judgment, case conceptualization, assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills, with the ability to support clinician development, clinical performance, client retention, and productivity.

  • Strong clinical documentation proficiency, including the ability to write and evaluate the quality of progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation.

  • Strong understanding of medical necessity and experience working within an insurance-based outpatient practice.

  • Significant experience assessing and treating trauma and attachment-related concerns.

  • Ability to provide clear, direct, supportive feedback while maintaining accountability and psychological safety.
